This art work is inspired by one of the preloaded Procreate artworks. I created it to see if I could capture the glow and reflection features. Being completely new to Procreate I saw this as a challenge and one filled with many lessons.

From this exercise I figured out that knowing which brush to use for your desired look is very helpful. Most times a look you are trying to replicate has less to do with the combination of colors or lines and more to do with your brush.

I used one of the Luminance brushes, or what I like to call the glow brushes, to create the glow. These brushes combine lighter values next to darker ones to give the illusion of it glowing. I really enjoy this brush and so do my own children and students.
