Today in my kids fashion workshop I showed them how to use washi tape. Washi tape is just a decorative tape that you can use in fashion illustration.

I showed them a few ways to use the tape which just involves the cutting process and adding shading. Most of my students are young so I always recommend they use scissors for these type of art exercises. However for my older students I also share how to use a craft knife.

I find that my students really enjoy the washi tape because the end results look so good. The washi tape mimics fabrics and patterns which really allows my student to enhance their designs.
