Beach Scene, Kymberli, 2020

I went to the beach this past weekend and it was AMAZING! We were closer to the city so there was a little bit of smoke but other than that…perfect.

This printed beach scene along with other beach art is now available in my shop.

I remember looking out and over the waves, up into the sky at the one or two gray clouds in the distance. It reminded me of watching a storm approaching. You know it’s coming and there is nothing you can do… but enjoy what you have right now, in front of you.

Most of the people on the beach wasn’t bothered by those gray clouds. With everything that has happened in the year 2020, I felt appreciative of the moment of right now. I focused my attention to the shoreline and how the sunlight reflected off of the water.

I wanted to paint where my focus was at, in that moment, because that is what truly mattered. None of us can stop a storm. We can enjoy what we have right now and know that the storm will pass.
