This month I will be reviewing artists from the Harlem Renaissance. I will cover artists like Lois Mailou Jones, Jacob Lawrence, Aaron Douglas, Meta Vaux Warrick Fuller, Augusta Savage, Archibald Motley Jr. and William H. Johnson.

Some of these artists created some of the most iconic artworks from this art period like Aaron Douglas and Jacob Lawrence.

Multi-disciplined artists like Lois Mailou Jones and William H. Johnson included their experiences into their art as they traveled the world.

Each of the artists in my review this month are from my Harlem Renaissance Art Tour class. I’ve taught this class for a year now and it’s one of my most popular group classes. These artists are some of my favorites and I’m glad to share this project with you.
